Stefano is a Chartered Engineer with nearly 30 years’ experience in the rail industry, the majority of those have been working in signalling control and telecommunications, and latterly (last 10 years) in cybersecurity. He was formerly the AtkinsRéalis cybersecurity lead for Rail in the UK, and was acting as the Cybersecurity lead for the UK’s two largest rail projects – East Coast Digital Programme and East West Rail, as well as Cyber SME for various projects.

Richard is a Principal Consultant in AtkinsRéalis’ Rail Cyber Security practice, supporting clients to understand and manage cyber security risk to their organisations and products, to ensure a safe and secure railway. Prior to joining AtkinsRéalis, Richard was the rail cyber security R&D lead at the University of Birmingham, and has spent 10 years in rail cyber security, assuring the security of in-cab signalling solutions including ERTMS and PTC, and has supported the UN in understanding the cyber security challenges they face in the digitalisation of the trans-Asian Railway
